Mcorp consulting Pty Ltd was approached by a leading sporting goods company to relocate their office and warehouse from the existing location in Scoresby to new premises in Keysborough. This included the relocation of all furniture, warehouse racking (including disassembly and reassembly), oversized pallets and machinery/equipment.
The Challenge
Developing an ongoing project schedule to tie in with end of lease requirements and a new build (allowing for delays) at delivery. The project also required some experienced heavy haulage movers with specialist transport and lifting equipment to collect, offload and install into the new facility.
The Solution
Meticulous project management and extra attention to detail. Developing relocation sequencing with stakeholders including warehouse managers and production managers, identifying key transition issues/risks, formation of mini project teams/move co-ordinators and confirmation of additional relocation specialists.
After establishing specialist logistics and lifting partners, our project management team worked with the client to create a detailed scope and programme of works. Mcorp also provided IT services for disconnection/reconnection of office IT as well as the supply/hire of 300+ commercial packing crates.
The Result
The project was completed in several phases over a 12-month period beginning in June 2021. In total, 8 x semi-truck loads, along with 15 smaller truck loads were relocated. Mcorp Project Managers and our own removals crew were present at both uplift and delivery sites throughout all relocations and machinery installations.
